A jewel which is 1200 years old
Walk through the subsoil and discover a lost world
The cellar of Villa Barberino is thought to date back to 600 AC, when the Longobards built the tower of the castle, whose tracks remain today through all the property. The cellar, digged in the rock and situated underground, is composed of three big rooms and a long passage made in bricks. Its visit is very suggestive and charming, as it contains and treasures 4000 bottles of 850 different labels of the best wines of Tuscany.
Many guided wine tastings, poetry's evening, concertos and meeting are organized here.
